My Experience

Over the past 15+ years, I’ve built a diverse and practical career in sales and marketing that combines hands-on outreach, strategic planning, and real-world execution. My approach has always been simple: understand what works, eliminate what doesn’t, and build repeatable systems that generate results.

Sr. Strategist at Cardwell Beach (2019 – 2024)

As a senior strategist at a fully remote agency, I collaborated with specialists across SEO, paid ads, branding, content, and design to create high-ROI marketing strategies. My role focused on assessing the current marketing performance of companies in sectors like healthcare, construction, and B2B services. I worked closely with the Chief Strategy Officer to deliver actionable insights and drive measurable improvements for our clients.

Freelance Sales & Marketing Consultant (2013 – 2019)

Before joining Cardwell Beach, I spent nearly six years as an independent consultant, helping small businesses—from law firms and contractors to digital agencies and therapists—connect with new clients. I used advanced search tools and online databases to identify qualified leads, cold-called decision makers, and pitched relevant services based on their specific needs.

I focused on building trust, selling value (not discounts), and ensuring long-term client success. Many clients who started on a trial basis became long-term partners thanks to a relationship-first approach and consistent follow-up.

Account Manager at Edicom (2012 – 2013)

At Edicom, I served as a bilingual account manager, supporting client relationships while also managing internal communications between software developers and the client’s IT teams. I led product demos, localized marketing material, and customized technical presentations based on each client's business goals.

Sr. Team Leader at Jacob Fleming Conferences (2007 – 2009)

Based in Barcelona, I led international sales efforts for a business conference company. My work involved direct outreach to financial services firms, gathering market insights, shaping the structure of conference events, and closing ticket sales. I also recruited and trained junior sales reps and helped them develop consultative selling skills.

Creative Sales Hustler (Laugh Factory, 2002 – 2005)

This role was equal parts entertainment and sales. I pioneered a grassroots campaign to sell comedy tickets at colleges across the Northeast. I’d research campuses, deliver in-classroom pitches to students and professors, and close sales on the spot. This experience taught me the power of creative outreach and confident messaging—and how effective storytelling can turn cold leads into excited buyers.

Early Career in Sales and Brokerage (2000 – 2002)

My early career in brokerage gave me a deep appreciation for persistence and high-stakes conversations. Cold calling taught me how to handle objections, present compelling value propositions, and build trust quickly with skeptical prospects.
